Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening is one of the fastest and easiest, let alone most inexpensive, ways to brighten your complexion and look younger. Just 2 shades lighter are enough to make a noticeable difference, and you’ll have your friends and neighbors wondering if you had a quick visit to the local cosmetic surgery clinic, yet they won’t be able to pinpoint what you had done.

How to whiten teeth

Tooth Whitening Kits

Sold at pharmacies and drugtores every where, tooth-whitening kits contain carbamide peroxide, a bleaching substance that can remove deep and surface stains from your teeth and that changes your natural tooth color. If you have coffee-stained teeth, a tooth-bleaching kit can help. With some kits, you apply a peroxide-based gel (with a small brush) to the surface of your teeth. In other kits, the gel is in a tray that molds to the teeth. The tray must be worn daily (for 30 to 45 minutes) for a week or more.

Whitening Toothpastes

Over the counter toothpastes and gels can certainly help you remove some surface stains from your teeth, therefore making them look whiter. Many of these products contain mild abrasives, chemicals, or polishing agents. They don’t change the natural color of teeth, but are very efficient at removing stains caused by coffee, sodas and other tooth-staining foods and drinks.

Whiten your teeth with Baking Soda

Wet your toothbrush and dip it in the baking soda container, so that a thick paste adheres to it. Brush your teeth with this paste at least once a day for 7 to 10 days in a row, and you’ll notice a significantly whiter smile after this period. This method also helps fight bacteria in your mouth, and does not have any negative side effects.

Whitening your Teeth

Teeth Whitening can be done in many ways and over short or long periods of time. It just depends on the method that you choose as well as the amount you are willing or can pay for the process.

So if you want to know what to do, where to go or just what to buy then you are in the right place as we plan to check them all for you so all you have to do is read and decide what is best for you and what fits your home budget as well as what process makes you the most comfortable.

Starting with one of the cheapest.

Several of the toothpaste companies have come out with inexpensive methods that can be done at home and actually work quite well on most people. However if your teeth are severely stained from coffee or smoking then you may want to skip these options and move right to the Dentists chair.

The two methods that are available from the Tooth paste companies are gels that areapplied either directly to the teeth or placed into a tray that you then bite and hold in place for a specific period of time. These gels are mild and normally do not cause any issues such as sore or burned gums, or even sensitive teeth. The other option is the strips that have a gel substance on them and you simply stick them to your teeth for the required time.

Both of those options are inexpensive and both are relatively safe. Some people do experience issues with these so be warned that it can happen. If something does go wrong consult your Dentist. The most expensive would be the Dentist.!

At the same time, it is also one of the safest methods as the Dentist is the best qualified person to assist you with your teeth. The gel that he uses is stronger and can be more dangerous so if you get any side effects speak up or at least grunt right away. His goal is to make you as happy as he can so that you continue with the treatments and care in his office!

As always be careful what you choose and make sure to talk in depth with your dentist.
